Country Cabin Crafter, LLC is a dream-come-true for owners Sheryl Nielsen and Mandy Sliver. We met in the spring of 2000 through our boyfriends (now husbands) and we've been soul sisters ever since. The idea of starting a business together has always been one of our biggest shared interests, so when destiny (and a lot of hard work) found our husbands working on neighboring fire departments and our homes only 12 miles apart, the challenge was on!

During the planning stages of Country Cabin Crafter in 2005, Mandy lost her Nana to a sudden heart attack. Nana had owned her own craft shop when Mandy was a little girl and Nana was always inspiring everyone to follow their dreams. Sadly, eight months later, Sheryl lost her Mom, also due to a sudden and unexpected heart attack. Mom was Sheryl's biggest fan and cheerleader and always knew that her talents and creativity would someday enrich the lives of other people. While devastating, there was now a sudden urgency to create something wonderful out of love and respect for these two strong and amazing women.

So, after making scrapbooks and wood crafts for only family and friends for several months, Country Cabin Crafter officially debuted in December 2005 at the Gilford High School Holiday Craft Fair. Since then, there have been many new products, long road trips, successful craft shows, and the occassional bad business decision. But with the love and support of their husbands, Glenn & Jason, the creation of Country Cabin Crafter, LLC, the launch of a full-service web-store in the summer of 2007 and a listing in the October/November 2007 issue of the nationally circulated Country Sampler Magazine, the future is looking brighter every day!
